This giveaway is now closed! Thanks for playing!
I have exciting news for everyone! Sunni has donated one of her beautiful tailor’s hams for a giveaway! I know, right? We JUST had an apron giveaway and now this! It’s almost too much to bear!
This giveaway will be of extra-special use for all of you still working on the Lady Grey sewalong. Won’t your collars look jaunty wrapped around this little guy? Here’s the details…
What’s in the giveaway
This gorgeous ham. Just in time for Thanksgiving (for those of us getting ready for Turkey day!)
How to enter
- Check out Sunni’s Etsy site. Come back here and leave a comment telling me which is your favorite item in the shop. Or, if you’re like me and have a wish list item (mine is a super-cute pincushion with a hand strap!) come and tell me what it is. Sleeve boards? Did she really mention sleeve boards? Oh my. That’s also going on my list. (If you’re not already following Sunni on facebook, now’s a good time to start!)
- You must leave a comment and don’t forget to make sure I can get a hold of you somehow. Either via your blog profile, or just leave your email in the comments.
How long you have to prepare yourself for this little piggy. Um. Ham.
- Get ready, get set… ok, now enter!
- You have until next Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010 to enter.
- I will choose the winner at random. I will carefully account for all enthusiastic entries. My accountant husband will probably not help this time, because his recent modeling career has made him much too vain to help the likes of me…
- International readers are welcome to participate.
- I will announce the winner on the 4th via an email to the winner, a blog post and on my facebook page.
- Thanks again to Sunni for the super-wise words and this excellent giveaway!
Ooh yay, first entry! I love her tailor's hams, who wouldn't want their notions and tools to be pretty?
Of all her items my favourite is the red ham and seam roll set. Such a great gift idea, too! One day I want to tailor a coat just like all you fabulous Lady Grey sew-alongers and this would do the trick.

But also, how cute are these towel transfers? Make drying the dishes fun!

What a wonderful giveaway! Thanks Patty and Sunni for hosting 🙂
OOoo… two of my favourite bloggers in one post! My favourite is the purple ham and seam roll set.
:)Alana
I love all of the ham/seam roll combinations and surely would not be able to make up my mind on which I liked the most. They are just so utterly c-u-t-e. I also saw several modish patterns that I'd like to have, and I SWEAR I do remember making the short jumpsuit from her McCalls 9711 pattern.
I am going to be so un-original, but I also love the tailor ham and seam roll set! I have been looking for one, but I could not find any around here! It is so frustrating!
I won't say the hams – OK yes I will; but also the pin cushions, patterns B4702, M8767, M9071. This is a great prise from two fabulous bloggers.
ooo that purple people eater pincushion is just calling out to me…and the transfer patterns, too cute!
I love the purple people eater pincushion as purple is my favorite color…..I read both your blogs regularly – you're both are soooo talented!
I love the little heirloom tomato pincushion, especially the Candy Corn one. And Simplicity 6851. Too bad it's not my size…
I really wish I'd known about this site before buying a ham and sleeve roll recently. Ugly ones! They're all so cute but the one in your give away is the very cutest, IMO. BTW, does she ship to Canada?
Oh, how CUTE! Hmmm…Well, I could really use a ham, and red being my favourite colour and ricrack my favourite trim…I really like this tailor's ham & seam roll set (http://www.etsy.com/listing/59835953/tailors-ham-and-seam-roll-set). Thanks for the opportunity! 🙂
Her pincushions are darling, but what I really love is the purple and plaid ham and seamroll set. Lovely! Thanks your

I actually planned to buy a ham from Sunni soon since I really could have used it today. I even went to her site but couldn't decide what to do since she only has listings with a seam roll and I already have one of those. I feel bad but… If I could win the ham that would be great. If not, I will get a pretty set from Sunni. I love the purple one.
Oooh, what a wonderful giveaway…! I really love Sunni's tailor's hams and tomato pincushions… I like the purple one best. But those vintage patterns are also really cute, I'd love to have McCalls 6422…
what an awesome give away!
I love all the vintage sewing patterns she has in her shop! very hard to pick one but this is my favorite:http://www.etsy.com/listing/58516181/simplicity-8498-size-14-1960s-evening. it is cute and so versatile! also love all of her hand made pincushions and pressing tools! love to own one because I don't have ANY!
She's basically a genius. I always walk past the tailor's hams at the store and think "gawd, that's so ugly" and keep walking. Why NOT make all your tools lovely? LOVE LOVE LOVE the pressing tools!

Sunni's tailor's hams are my absolute favourite thing in her shop.
I never realised how much they help when pressing until I started taking my sewing more seriously.
I do need one but I balk at buying something so ugly and mass-produced as is sold in the normal shops. I could make one but I'd prefer to buy from Sunni and support her in her passion.

That is the cutest tailor's ham I've ever seen!
I just love the Cupcake Goddess…besides her tailor's hams and seam rolls, I think my favorite thing in her shop is the 1960s cardigan patterns. Swoon.

Love it!!! Please enter me! My favorite item in the shop is the pin-up girls Vogart Original Transfer Patterns Party Pack. How cool is that?
wow she does cute things! i love the red set here

pick me !
I really like those hams. I am not good enough to use one of those vintage patterns yet. But a tailor's ham is something that could come in very useful even for my level of sewing.
Ooh a ham! This may be the kick up the backside I need to become a bit less slapdash in my sewing projects. I like the Roma Tomator Pincushion in natural – so pretty!
Oooh, a ham. I made my own but, ah, my stuffing is not quite ideal (fabric scraps).
Having peeked through, my favourite thing in the shop is the dress Simplicity 5728… it reminds me of a vintage dress still hanging in my mom's old closet at my grandmother's (minus only the collar). I always loved that dress (it fits perfectly) but couldn't get over the late 60s polyester-flannel-type fabric.
I'm extremely infatuated with the 70's wrap and go dress Sunni has listed. It might break my frustration with wrap dresses. Of course I love the new knitting and crochet pattern pdfs and plan to give some as Christmas presents..
I was just perusing her etsy shop yesterday. I really want one of her cute tomato pincushions–my favorite is the Candy Corn one. Hopefully, I'll get it for christmas.

I could use a new pincushion but I think a ham and seam press are high on the list as well. How can someone choose the fabric so easily? I'd have to stare for a while before I decide, but that's what I could use adding to my tools.

I've been following Sunni's blog for a few months now & it's inspired me to start sewing again. it was my first love among the many crafts I've taught myself to do.
I really love the red tailor's ham & seam roll (the one pictured in the interview post)
thanks stacykins(at)gmail(dot)com
I like Butterick 4702. And obviously the ham!!
I keep my fingers crossed.

I have always admired Sunni's lovely things in her shop, I would particularly like a taylor's ham and seamroll set along with a lovely vintage pattern!

OOOOOOh I love Sunni's hams!!! I would love to win one – I need to win one! I especially love her red ham and seamroll, so me!
I was so excited when I finally sucked it up and bought a sleeve roll. I was so bummed when I discovered that The Cupcake Goddess made much prettier ham & sleeve roll sets. But I don't have a ham yet! And despite having 3 pincushions I am crushing on her heirloom tomato pincushions.
I really love Sunni's ham and seamroll set…just waiting for a green one again and some savings…I would love to get lucky and win one instead
OOOh! I don't have a ham, but could really use one to finish my jacket!
I've always adored her bias tape, but she's out right now. I'd happily settle for Simplicity 8498, Evening Elegance. In my size, too!
I *just* purchased my first tailor's ham because I needed it for a sewing class I'm taking but I would have totally gone for the red/white ham and seam roll set if it had gone up a few days earlier 🙁 Thanks for hosting the giveaway!
I love her Heirloom Tomato Pincushions…they are so sweet. I could use a Ham as well…right now my "Lady Grey" collar is wrapped snugly around my rolled up beach towel awaiting attachment to the jacket tomorrow.
Thank you for this giveaway! I most like the beautiful Seventies pattern in here shop. My favorite is her "sailor sally pattern" … so cute!
I´m in need of a ham to improve my sewing and I will definitely choose one of sunni´s!

I love her shop (hadn't seen it before) and I think top on my list is a tailor's ham! I like the red & white one that's in the shop right now.
Thanks so much for this opportunity! (I'm a fellow Lady Grey sewalonger)… 😉
i need one of these real bad. i love love the seam roll set. so so cute!

I love her ham and seam rolls. In fact, I wanted one so much, and my husband gave me my own set from her Etsy shop for my birthday in September. I am a lucky girl.
I love the red ham and seam roll, so cute.
Is it wrong to say everything? I'm a hoarder of the highest order.
I really like the hams and seam rolls though. I usually manage to burn myself when pressing half completed projects, and a ham and seam roll seem like they'd help me avoid that.
I just love the 1950s/60s knitting pattern Party Pack with the little boleros and evening jackets. Too cute! Although I must admit I'd love to have one of her Heirloom tomato pincushions as well. I love her fabric combinations. It would also be really nice to have a nice ham and seam roll. I've got some very tailored projects on my list of things to do and they'd come in very handy!
I love Sunni's hams and seam rolls! I've been looking at them and thinking about them for a while now, just waiting for the right ones. I also love her natural roma pincushion, but a while ago I saw some really cute handmade bias tape at her store, which was probably one of my favorite things that I've seen on her page.

Ooo… I've been oogling over her ham and seam roll set for a few months now! She's just the cutest!
I love this pin cushion ( http://www.etsy.com/listing/58519728/heirloom-tomato-pincushion-purple-people ), and I've been eyeing her pressing rolls and things for ages now. Of course the one I liked best has been sold! 🙂
What a beaut! I'm still assembling my sewing supplies so this would be a lovely addition. And an incentive to move beyond bags, pillows and pajama pants to curves!
I love the bias tape, but she's all out, so I'd have to go with one of the roma pincushions. What a great idea to have decorative accessories.
