Morning you nest building egrets! I’m not sure if it’s the weather or the effects of OD’ing on garment sewing over the last week, but I find myself in the sewing state of near-zero inclination to sew my next garment, coupled with an obsession for finally redoing the textiles in my living room.

I’ve posted about this before, but for those of you not avidly keeping notes on my home decor, I’d like to swap out my dark green drapes with my nice new white ones and update the dark red and green quilts and pillows with nice, new white, blue and orange quilts. The quilt with the blue fabrics (actually grey, aqua and brown) will be Mr. Bug’s new quilt (I get the orange one, my favorite color!)** and as such I’m trying to stick with more ‘manly’ fabrics. So… only ONE polka dot! But the dots are fuzzy and brown.

Here’s a collage of the fabrics currently under consideration. I like them ALL. Sigh.

And here’s a few quilts that I currently find inspiring…

Now, quilts aren’t really my “thing” – I’ve only made one in the last 10 years. It was super easy and a wedding gift. I am a bit bemused by my current fixation!

OK, off to go paw through my fabric stash a bit more. In the meantime, here are the earlier posts on the living room re-do project. Click the image to see the post.

See you later, ducks!
