Morning rascally rabbits! I was going to do a mini sewing project last night JUST for those of you who are mourning my MIA sewing saga. Well, I was going to chop the skirt of a couple of maxi dresses because apparently moving to Texas has made me want to show off as much leg as possible without having to formally don bloomers – but, alas, the night got away from me. Mr. Bug and I ran to Ikea for dinner and to pick up a few things (curtains. frame.) and then when I got home I read my way through three of the work related magazines that have piled up (Landscape Architecture. Water Gardens. Landscape Architecture and Specifier News. Interesting, huh?) And before I knew it, Mr. Bug and Lucy the hound were snoring up a storm on the sofa and it was almost midnight.
So instead of the three photos of the maxi dress project you would have gotten, I’ve pulled out my favorite breakfast nook related pictures from Pinterest. It perhaps will not be so interesting for all of YOU, but hopefully will stop me from making an unreasonable garagecraigslistestatesale purchase over the weekend!
I’m on the hunt for a table for this spot… preferably round
The table that’s there is 30″ x 42″. I think the round table could go anywhere from 42″ – 48″. The back door is AWFUL close to the wall, which makes clearance into the house difficult. When we first saw the house, the sellers had a round table there, and the back door hit it when you opened it all the way. I’d like to avoid that!
Here’s a rendering showing a 42″ round table in that spot…
Now for the eye candy! A lot of the pictures have benches or are built-ins. I was really hoping to do that in this house, but have reluctantly given up the idea. Our windows go almost to the floor, so any sort of built in wouldn’t look very good from outside the house. Oh well!

And finally, my two favorite photos!!
This one is a repost from, like, two days ago, but I really love the light and the chairs!

And this whole house, in general, reminds me a bit of my house. I’m not sure why I like these pictures so much, as each separate piece (and all the color) don’t exactly grab me – I just like the whole effect! And that the layout is just like the nook I’m filling up!
