Happy Easter bunnies!! I hope you all had successful egg hunts today! I’ve been a busy spring bee, but thought I’d drop in with my most recent finished project. Easter Egg socks!!

Snugbug Easter Egg Socks

Hip Hip HOORAY for finishing up UFO’s, amiright?? I remember having these on my needles before I started working at my last job – so that’s five #2 DPNs cleared for active service after four or five long years!

The yarn is Spud and Chloe Fine – an 80/20 superwash merino/silk blend. I’ve had the yarn for such a long time I can’t precisely remember the colors, but I’m pretty sure the main color is Red Hot – a really bright coral red – and the toes/heels are Sassafras – a fuchsia hot pink.

Snugbug Easter Egg SocksThe pattern is Twisting the Night Away ($3.00 to download on Ravelry.) It’s a SUPER easy mock cable that uses right-twists (RT) to create the cool cables. The socks look sort of odd when not on my foot.

See? All scrunched together. But it stretches out and looks cool when on the foot.

I usually like variegated yarn for socks – especially Malabrigo! But I think the solid color really allows the stitch pattern to show through.

Happy Easter, Bunnies!!
