There’s a fun, new candy shop in town that you should definitely include in your plans during your visit to Northern Comfort.
Ely’s Old Fashioned Candy is a new addition to the main drag in downtown Ely. Just steps away from one of our favorite restaurants, The Ely Steakhouse.
I have to say, I’d be super excited for a new candy shop in town, because, candy. But Ely’s Old Fashioned Candy has a bit extra fun going on…. candy + history! Visitors will see lovely, large copies of photos of Ely’s main street, Sheridan, lined up along the wall.

Closer inspection shows that the images are from specific eras, with the years listed under the photo. Here’s the 1910 and 1920’s bays.
